Implementation, Adaptation and Support
Development of target solutions generally involves a new
architecture or spin by a silicon vendor or new OEM board layout with
external
(to the SOC) components. Work commonly undertaken by Belcarra will
begin on early versions of
development boards.
Services requested may include adaptation to, or qualification of, the new spin or board layout. New features may be required or an existing module may be tuned for speed and reliability. Operating system kernel version upgrades, different transceivers, or other hardware configurations are among the many reasons a target might require modification or recertification of the original driver.
Currently supported SOC architectures include:
- Marvel (Intel) X-scale PXA 250, 255, 260, 270, 3xx
- Samsung S3C2500
- RMI (AMD) Alchemy au1100, au1500, au1550
- Freescale MX1, MX21, MX 31, MXC275-30, MXC 300-20 (HS), MXC300-30, MXC 91131
- Texas Instruments OMAP 2430, OMAP 3430
Following qualification, adaptation and validation, Belcarra will provide ongoing support services to OEMS on design and prototype hardware including 2nd/3rd level technical support of all Belcarra software. Support services for production hardware include normal updates as well as allocation of time for specific technical problem resolution, and may include priority allocation of additional time if required.
